Dr. Richard Beckerman has been a trusted and respected member of the Foxhall Women’s Health team for over three decades. Known for his thoughtful approach, steady presence, and dry wit, he builds lasting relationships with his patients and provides expert, personalized care through every stage of life.
While he stepped away from obstetric care at the end of 2024, Dr. Beckerman continues to offer a full range of gynecologic services, including annual exams, menopause management, and treatment for a variety of common and complex conditions. He also offers cosmetic Botox treatments, applying his clinical precision and keen aesthetic eye to deliver subtle, natural results in a familiar and trusted setting.
Throughout his career, Dr. Beckerman has been recognized for both his leadership and his dedication to patient care. He previously served as Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sibley Memorial Hospital and has been named among Washingtonian magazine’s “Top Docs” year after year.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, followed by a Master’s in Physiology and a Medical Degree from Georgetown University. He completed his residency at The George Washington University and is board certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Outside of the office, Dr. Beckerman enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and close friends.
Dr. Shannon Becker Green has been with Foxhall Women’s Health since 2011, offering attentive, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s individual needs. Known for her thoughtful communication and clinical precision, she supports women through every stage of the reproductive spectrum with a focus on long-term, trusted relationships.
Dr. Green’s current practice is dedicated solely to gynecologic care. Her areas of expertise include contraceptive counseling, menopause management, the evaluation and treatment of abnormal bleeding, and minimally invasive procedures. She is a Menopause Society Certified Provider (MSCP) and is board certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Her patients value her approachable style and deep attention to detail, as well as the continuity of care she brings to every visit. Dr. Green has been regularly recognized by Washingtonian magazine as one of the region’s “Top Docs.”
Dr. Green earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees from Georgetown University and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The George Washington University.
Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, she lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and three daughters. She’s an avid fitness enthusiast and a proud Georgetown Hoyas fan. She also serves on the Board of Governors at Georgetown University and the Young Professionals Board at Sibley Memorial Hospital—reflecting her ongoing commitment to both medicine and community leadership.
Dr. Nichole Pardo has been part of the Foxhall Women’s Health team since 2007. Known for her calm clarity and thoughtful presence, she provides personalized, evidence-based care to women navigating the transitions of young adulthood through midlife. Her approach reflects Foxhall’s values: attentive listening, clinical excellence, and long-term relationships built on trust.
Dr. Pardo’s areas of focus include menopause management, abnormal and postmenopausal bleeding, cervical dysplasia, and contraception. She has been a Menopause Society Certified Provider (MSCP) since 2017 and is committed to helping women make confident, informed choices about their care. While she no longer practices obstetrics, she continues to care for many of her patients through the next stages of their health journeys.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Pardo served as a U.S. Army physician, including deployment during Operation Enduring Freedom. Her training and experience in both military and civilian medicine contribute to her grounded, decisive approach to patient care.
She is board certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has been consistently recognized as one of the region’s “Top Docs” by Washingtonian magazine—including a feature on the cover of its March 2014 “Top Docs” issue.
Dr. Pardo earned her undergraduate degree from Trinity College and holds a Master’s in Medical Science from Boston University. She completed her Medical Degree at Boston University School of Medicine and her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Walter Reed Army and National Naval Medical Center.
Originally from Long Island, she lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and daughter. She enjoys travel, cooking, being outdoors, and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
Maddie joined Foxhall Women’s Health in 2024, offering a calm, approachable presence and a deep commitment to preventive, personalized care. Patients appreciate her warmth, attention to detail, and ability to create a supportive environment where they feel heard and at ease.
As a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), Maddie focuses exclusively on gynecologic care. Her clinical work includes routine wellness exams, screenings, contraceptive counseling, and patient education for women across the reproductive spectrum. She brings a strong foundation in both nursing and advanced practice, as well as a genuine passion for helping women understand and care for their health.
Maddie began her career as a labor and delivery nurse in Austin, Texas, before moving to Sibley Memorial Hospital—where she first collaborated with the Foxhall team. Inspired to expand her impact, she went on to earn her Master’s degree at Duke University after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Virginia.
Her work reflects Foxhall’s commitment to thoughtful, relationship-driven care tailored to each individual.
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Maddie now calls Virginia home. She shares her days with her husband, their two young daughters, and their playful golden retriever, Junebug. With a heart for community and family, she enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring local farmers markets, parks, and restaurants with friends and loved ones.
Julie Tapscott is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of clinical experience in both primary care and women’s health. Known for her calm, attentive approach, she offers patients thoughtful guidance and continuity across a wide range of health concerns.
As the newest member of the Foxhall Women’s Health team, Julie expands our services to include integrated primary care—making it easier for patients to receive more of the care they need in one trusted, familiar setting.
Her clinical expertise spans wellness exams, contraceptive counseling, STI management, and the evaluation and treatment of common gynecologic concerns such as urinary tract infections and vaginitis. In addition, Julie provides ongoing support for chronic conditions including thyroid disorders, high blood pressure, anxiety, and depression, and offers travel consultations for those preparing for international trips.
Julie earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from James Madison University. She began her career at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, caring for adult oncology patients and holding leadership roles focused on patient advocacy and care coordination. Prior to joining Foxhall, she practiced at Farragut Medical and Travel Care, delivering comprehensive outpatient services to a diverse patient population.
Her clinical depth, warmth, and long-standing commitment to personalized care reflect the values at the heart of the Foxhall experience.
Julie lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and their dog. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and getting lost in a good book. She is also actively involved in community service and has spent several years volunteering with So Others Might Eat, a nonprofit supporting D.C. residents in need.
